How to support your mind & body during turbulent times – Week 4

In our final week for this month’s theme on how to support your mind and body during turbulent times, I would like to ask you, where do you place the importance of your health and wellbeing in your daily life and activities? At times, we can be focused on other family members or engrossed in our work. During these challenging times, it could be because we are operating a lot of the time out of fear.Maybe it is fear of losing a job, maybe fear of losing contracts or clients (if we are self-employed), it could be a fear of having no control over outside events or maybe we have fear and anxiety around our health.

Our actions are always driven by an emotion, that is why the energy we expend with an action, can either be positive and energising or it can be negative and energy zapping.  How are you feeling at the moment?

Prioritising your health

This week I would like you to considerlistening to the following two podcasts.  Having this global once in a life time jolt that has changed society’s “norm” allows us to stop and consider the question, “could I re-evaluate what has been my norm, consider tweaking my mindset and approach, so that caring for my health is at the top of the list of my priorities?”

In this first episode, I discuss the feelings that many of experiencing, such as fear and uncertainty.  Allow we to explain how this translates into our mind and body.  Within this episode, I will help you create proactive measures during times of uncertainty.

In this episode, Dr Sarah Wilson ND and I discuss how demands and responsibilities increase and how common it is to put ourselves at the bottom of our list of priorities. Within this episode, we discuss factors which are important to re-evaluate periodically as you transition through different chapters of your life.  Different transitions in life mean changes in priorities.
