Pandiculation, Stretching & Your Nervous System

Hello! I hope you have had a good couple of weeks since I last wrote to you. xx

We have recently returned from a summer holiday in Tasmania. It was lovely to enjoy the beautiful countryside and some of the cleanest air in the world. Whilst we were there, we enjoyed the quiet time and felt how nature, silence and walking really helped to regulate our nervous system. By the end of the year, it is common to feel tired and so if you too can enjoy some quiet time, walking in nature, notice how it regulates your nervous system.

Towards the end of this blog, I will share a few photos of our holiday and a huge achievement on the final full day of our holiday! You can find more photos and videos on my social media pages.

Focused start to 2023!

Ensure you are subscribed to Somatic Movement & Mindset Podcast (available on all podcast platforms and also on the Total Somatics You Tube Channel) because during the month of January, I will be focusing on MINDSET. So many people begin the new year with good intentions, however by the 15th, they often fall back into old habits and feel disheartened.

This special month, focused on MINDSET, is designed to inspire you to realise every day, with micro habits, we are making improvements. I have invited some very special and influential guests too, so look out for those episodes too!

My holiday adventures

For our summer holiday (southern hemisphere) this year, we decided to return to beautiful Tasmania. You can view my full Travelogue on Instagram @total.somatics and also on Facebook @HeidiHadley. On the final full day, I climbed Cradle Mountain which is a grade 5 climb. It took me 4 hours and 57 minutes to climb to the summit. In total the round trip back to base was 8 hours and 10 minutes! It was incredible and also very challenging! A mix of emotions came over me on that day. I very much appreciated the power of MINDSET in this situation and in my travelogue, you will see why that was the case.

Apart from bruised, tender toenails and a few bruises on my belly, legs, bottom and arms, my muscles and joints feel great since finishing, I have Total Somatics to thank for that!

It was a brilliant way to finish the year and embrace the start of a new year with additional experiences to explore.
