The difference between Total Somatics, Yoga & Pilates

Hello! How are you? If you joined me for The Total Somatics LIVE Experience, thank you for taking time out to learn what is really going on underneath your skin. Also learning and experiencing how you have the innate properties to create changes in the way your brain and body work with each other. It has been great to teach so many of you from around the world how to start reading the feedback from your amazing mind and body, using Total Somatics awareness techniques and recalibration skills.

As many of the actions, thoughts, behaviours, self talk and movements we create are subconscious or automatic, it is only when someone else encourages us to notice how we are responding or reacting to situations, that we realise that what we thought was 'normal' may not be! Instead, it is how we have gradually conditioned ourselves to move, act, think, talk to ourselves and believe a certain way, that it begins to shape us to a habit which in many cases, may not be serving us well.

The feedback from many around the world with the Total Somatics LIVE Experience is that it opened their eyes to realising that the tiny snippet of what I taught you in the events, increases their awareness to how important it is to apply these skills. Thereby, helping to create a resilient nervous system that will support their muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, organs and systems within their brain and body.

One area that many people were interested in was the difference between Total Somatics, Yoga and Pilates. During the events and LIVE Q&A session which I held a few days after the 3 LIVE workshops, I covered this in detail.

In this week's podcast I cover the question again and explain why Total Somatics has a different approach to Yoga and Pilates.
